ABOUT ME
Caroline Fernandes is Portuguese-American and grew up in Brooklyn, NY. She's lived on the East End of Long Island and continues to spend summers there, she also lives in Manhattan. It was at college that she began her pursuit of photography. While traveling throughout Europe she took special pleasure photographing people and interesting places.
Caroline has maintained her lifelong interest in photography and traveling, and seizes every opportunity to further her art through practice and seminars. Her lifelong mission is to share her work with the people she photographs.
In 2004 she changed her medium from film to digital. While digital offers many possibilities of manipulation, Caroline stays true to form and tries to shoot where no manipulation is needed.
From street photography in Manhattan to her travels around the country and world, the camera is her loyal companion.
